Princess Aisha

posted in: My stories | 6

once upon a time in a land far, far, from here there was a tropical island called Imajaina. the king and queen of Imajaina had just given birth to a baby, and her name was Aisha. However the queen fell ill and soon died. And not more than a month after Aisha’s birth the king too fell ill. he was weak and full of sorrow after his wife’s sudden death. And when he died baby Princess Aisha was an orphan. the night he died was stormy and she was on the doorstep admiring the storm. An old woman named Lani saw the poor baby princess and decided to adopt her.

Lani and Aisha grew and Aisha was soon a young lady at the fine age of 16. Lani knew she had to tell Aisha her past. Or what she knew about it anyway. “Aisha, I need to tell you something.” she began. Aisha listened with full respect just like her mother had taught. When Lani had finished Aisha was speechless. “you mean I have to hike up that mountain to the castle, w-without you?” she asked. “yes Aisha”  Lani replied, a tear in her eye. “but you are my mother!” Aisha wept.

Lani brought Aisha to the bottom of the mountain and told her everything was packed for her long journey and good luck. Aisha thanked her and set off.

Aisha reached a fork in the road and couldn’t decide which way to go. “go that way” an evil fairy told Aisha , pointing her in the most challenging road. Aisha obeyed the fairy. There were lots of hard challenges but Aisha finished them all, and did it well. at her last challenge she met a boy named Ornardio. he helped her and they did the rest of the journey together.

When they reached the castle Aisha told Ornardio to stay outside. she  saw the spirits of her parents.  “congrats” her mother told her. “you did all the challenges?” her father asked. “yes” Aisha replied. feeling happy.  “I think it’s time you take the throne” her mother said and then they both disappeared.

Aisha and Ornardio got married and the whole kingdom was invited especially Lani.  Aisha  invited Lani to live in the castle with them and she happily agreed. they Lived Happily  Ever after.
